✨ Why Staggered Entry?
At Bearspaw School, we use a staggered entry at the start of the year to help students transition smoothly into their new routines. By splitting our classes into two groups (surnames M–Z on September 2 and surnames A–L on September 3), students benefit from:
Smaller Groups: Teachers have more time to connect with each child, answer questions, and establish routines.
Calmer Classrooms: Fewer students at once means less noise and movement, which helps reduce first-day jitters.
Stronger Connections: Students can get to know their teachers and classmates in a more personal, less overwhelming setting.
Smoother Transitions: Kindergarten students, in particular, benefit from this gentle start as they adjust to new spaces and expectations.
This thoughtful approach ensures that by the time all students return together on September 4, everyone feels more comfortable, confident, and ready for a successful year ahead!
