2019-2020 FunLunch Information

Dear Parents,

FBES is hoping that you are all staying healthy and safe as we navigate through these unprecedented times.

We realize many of you might be wondering about  the FunLunch Program as many of the lunches ordered for Term 2 will not be getting served with the school closure. We want to let you know what our plan is for addressing the missed lunches.  We will be offering a full refund of your child’s remaining balance.  We do ask for your patience however as FBES is a small, parent run, volunteer group and the task of reimbursing parents is large and not without complications. Reimbursement checks will likely only be available at the commencement of school in the fall.

Of course, as a non profit fundraising society, Friends of Bearspaw Education Society relies heavily on the profits of the FunLunch Program to support our children’s learning with the funding of many programs, activities, technology, supplies and events at school they would otherwise go without.  Our budget for the 2019-20 school year included the projected Term 2 FunLunch profits and we had therefore already allocated a portion of those funds to the school, along with acquiring some administrative costs of the program regardless that it is no longer running with the cancellation of school.

We always appreciate parent support and one way to continue your support is to donate your FunLunch payment to FBES so we can assure to continue providing our kids with the best learning environment once we are back at it in the Fall.  Should you wish to do so, please email fbesinfo@gmail.com and state that you would like to donate the unused portion of your child’s FunLunch order. We would be so grateful for your donation.
